Making Music to the Lord
The church is blessed with a rich musical heritage. Sacred music from great classical and contemporary composers is brought to life through the voices of our Chancel Choir and the work of our organists and choir masters. Our current organist and choirmaster Janice Grace continues the musical tradition established by her preceeding choir directors which include Dr. John A. Davis, Jr. and George Tilley.
The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir provides a musical setting which expresses our praise and encourages our devotion to the Lord in worship. The choir sings music from a broad range of periods and styles, classical to contemporary. New members are always welcome.
The Davis Organ
A contemporary, eclectic American pipe organ by Schantz of Ohio was installed in October 2003. It has already established itself as one of the finest organs in the Hudson Valley. The 45 ranks of pipes -- 2,652 total -- provide a superb variety of sound, greatly enhancing worship, from hushed tones of reverence and awe to majestic peals of praise and exaltation. The Tower Music Series
In 2004, the church began its Tower Music Series featuring local and regional artists and musical groups of many different types and styles to introduce our community to the diversity of the musical arts.
