Our Church is Its People
Since 1716, the First Dutch Reformed Church of Poughkeepsie has been a gathering place for worship, support, growth and service in the city of Poughkeepsie. Here you will find a warm and encouraging spirit in which to seek and find God's love, strength and guidance.
Our church family is made up of men and women from many different Christian backgrounds, but they serve One Lord, rejoicing in the faith they share in Jesus Christ.
Weekly Worship
Weekly worship services are held every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and celebrated in the classical worship tradition. We also offer a Church School for children every Sunday during the regular school year, which begins shortly after the start of worship service. Children attend the beginning of worship service with their parents, receive a special lesson from our pastor, and depart from the sanctuary to participate in Church School lessons which are housed in the Education Wing of our church building.
Nursery care is available for infants and small children during worship service.
