Installation Service for the Reverend Jason Elder

In this time in which we observe our 300 years of service to our community and to the world, the Reformed Church of Poughkeepsie stepped confidently into the next century of continued service with the formal installation of our new pastor, the Reverend Jason Elder.

On Sunday, September 11, the Reverend Elder was formally installed as part of a special evening service in our sanctuary at 5:30 p.m. This formal service conferred the blessings of the Mid-Hudson Classis of the New York Regional Synod upon Pastor Jason to lead our congregation into its next century of service to the Lord and to the world, and confirmed before all their firm belief that Pastor Jason was eminently qualified to serve as Minister of the Word within the Reformed Church in America. Attending the service and performing the installation were members of the Classis and the Synod, who arrived after worship services with their own congregations that morning.

A short reception followed the service, sponsored by the Consistory.
