What are St. Paul's core values?
St. Paul's Reformed Church is part of the Reformed Church in America denomination (www.rca.org). The final authority in the Reformed church is Scripture, the Word of God. The Holy Spirit makes the Word real and actual in our lives.
We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus came to Earth as a man and died on the cross for our sins, conquering death and rising again. Through Him our sins are forgiven and we are saved.
The Apostles Creed, Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dort all explain the beliefs of our church and are the confessions held by the Reformed Church in America. (all are available on-line)
St. Paul's believes all believers are called by God, saved by Jesus Christ and strengthened by the Holy Spirit to serve Him.
St. Paul's believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God. In it He tells us to go and teach the all nations. We believe Jesus is coming again and that we have a sense of urgency to tell oters about Christ.
