School age children
The Town of Knox is located in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School district. The school is located in the Town of Berne, approximately five miles west of Knox. All children not within walking distance are transported to school by bus. The BKW campus includes all grades K-12 at this location. The school enrollment is approximately 1,000 students. The school boasts a very active music department and offers several sports such as basketball, soccer, cross-country, track, volleyball, baseball and softball.

The Knox Nursery School provides pre-school development for the three and four year olds in the area. The school meets in the downstairs of the Knox Church Hall. Enrollment is not limited to church families. There is one three-year-old class, which meets two mornings per week, and two four-year-old classes that meet three days per week, morning and afternoon.
