The Olive Branch Thrift Shop opened its doors on September 29, 2007. Staffed with volunteers from our Women of Third Church and other area churches, the hours of operation are every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, and Wednesday evenings from 5-7 pm. Our "special events" include a monthly door prize and bake sales on various holiday occasions. Through the thrift shop efforts, we have been able to sponsor overseas missions (such as purchasing goats and a sewing machine to promote self-sufficiency) and also support local area missions in need. Our goods come from donations from church members and the community at large, and we also ‘inherited’ a whole truckload of clothing from the Clarkesville Clothing Closet. Our inventory changes all the time, and our prices are very low. Come in and see for yourself.
