Our Programs

What We Do

We work to help build community. We have fellowship after worship, getting together as a community to catch up with each other, meet new people, and share the events of our past week. We host a Christmas party for the children of the church, and an easter party and egg hunt, as well as a Halloween party for the community. We support local and world wide missions, including the food pantry at the First Reformed Church. We host several dinners a year, usually a spaghetti supper in the spring and a pork supper in the fall. We are involved in local organizations and are part of the local ecumenical church community as well.

Bible Study

We currently are in the midst of our spring bible study on the Psalms, we are holding 2 classses one on tuesday from 10am till 11am, and one on thursday from 10am to 11am.

Community Dinners

We host a community dinner the last Saturday of each month from 5 to 7 pm. We ask that anyone who attends brings a non-perishable food for the food pantry (if they are able to do so). These events are a wonderful opportunity to get to know your neighbors and have a wonderful meal while benefiting the food pantry.

Women of Third

We have a small, hard working group of women who meet on the first Tuesday of each month at noon. They are very active in the day to day operation of the church, and are the ones who keep the thrift shop running. They meet to discuss mission projects and to have fellowship with one another. New members are always welcome

Men of Third

Meet the first Saturday of the month for breakfast and fellowship. We are currently in the planning stages of what mission projects we will be tackling in 2009. New members are always welcome. We have already served a lunch and dinner at the mens shelter.

AA

The local directors of AA meet at Third Reformed on the first Monday of each month. Also we have a beginners AA meeting on wednesdays at 7:00pm
