The Reverend Rick Behan was called to our church on September 1st, 2008. Pastor Rick was installed on October 19th of this year and is our 34th Pastor. Rick graduated from St. Bernard’s School of Ministry and Theology in May of 2007. Rick is a ‘second career’ minister who was first taken under care of the Albany Classis in June of 2002, and was part of the RCA MFCA program. Rick worked for the New York State Assembly for 24 years. He served as a fulltime Resident Chaplain at Albany Medical Center for two years after having taken his CPE requirement there. Rick is married to his wife, Patricia, who is a nurse at Albany Medical Center. They have 6 children (5 boys and 1 girl) ranging in age from 11-28, and 5 grandchildren. Rick and Patti reside at the parsonage at 16 Ten Eyck Avenue with their youngest two children, Nate and Lucas, and their dogs (Honey and Sam) and their 4 cats (Wookie, Harry, Lucy and Georgia). Three of their children reside at their home on West Van Vechten St.
