Size 54Óx84Ó

Description:

Green is the dominant color of this quilt-the color of vegetation, growth, spring, and hope. A green rich hillside fills this quilt as our hearts are to be filled with hope. On that hillside a symbol of Christ reminds us of where to place our hope. Chi-Rho are the first two letters of the Greek word for Christ. The dark night sky clear and pure, with bright shining stars, is seen beyond the hills

After Jesus was born a star appeared in the East. The wise men followed it until...

ÒBehold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Christ was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.Ó

Matthew 2:1-12

And so begins the season of the Epiphany. In this quilt we see the same dark enchanting sky that towered over the wise men that might. One star from the hillside shines the brightest. As it guided the wise men that night to find the newborn Christ, it still guided us today to follow the star, through the darkness, over the hills to find Christ.
