Christmas Party
Approximately 80 church members, friends and family came out on a wintry night, December 14, 2007, to celebrate the Christmas Season with a pot luck dinner in the pine room, followed by a party in the lounge around the Christmas tree. Singing, games, photos, dessert and Santa were all part of the festivities. The event was organized and hosted by the Fellowship Committee. Some of the many photos taken by Lisa for the committee are presented below:

Bethlehem, PA Bus Trip
Our Fellowship Committee organized a bus trip to Bethlehem, PA on December 8, 2007 to enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations of that city and learn about the German (Pennsylvania Dutch) heritage of that area. The first stop was a visit to the "Putz" at the Edgeboro Moravian Church. The term, putz, comes from a German word, putzen, meaning "to decorate." There we enjoyed a presentation of the Story of the Nativity involving miniature scenes, lights and narration, followed by a tour of the church and a shopping opportunity in their parish hall for locally made craft items . We also learned about the background of the Moravian Church which had its pre-Reformation origins in central Europe in the15th century.
Following the church visit, we arrived at the Bethlehem Hotel where we enjoyed a wonderful buffet meal. Free time was provided for shopping in the many shops featuring Christmas items near the hotel. At twilight, the bus, with a local guide dressed in Moravian attire, took us on a tour of the city and explained the many traditions, history and sites of the area..
Over 50 members and friends of our church participated in this event,
