POMPTON REFORMED CHURCH

On the third Sunday of each month, our worship bulletin includes a list of those seeking prayers for healing, strength and comfort. The congregation prays aloud through the list, and then enters into a time of prayers for healing, including the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. Due to confidentiality, we are not able to list individual names, but here are other situations we have been upholding in prayer.

--For God's guidance and blessing upon President Barack Obama as he is installed into office and his new administration takes shape.

--For households reeling from financial setbacks and job layoffs.

--For food pantries and helping agencies and the people they serve.

--In this congregation and their loved ones are those dealing with cancer treatments and other illnesses. We pray also for those dealing with parent-child and marital conflict, alcohol or drug dependency, loneliness, temptation, forgiveness...

--Prayers for our outreach into the community, including the Deacon-sponsored community breakfast on February 28.

--For faithfulness is living out of vision of building a church were every person knows Jesus, and believes he or she can make a difference for Jesus' sake.

Note to Pompton Reformed members: Following each week's worship, prayer cards are placed in the basket in the Prayer/History room. Feel free anytime to visit that room and pray over the many needs.
