POMPTON REFORMED CHURCH

Information Link for the Associate Pastor/Youth Minister Job Description.

Dear Friends,

Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ, and welcome to our web page. If you are in the area, we invite you to join us for worship Sunday mornings at 10:00 A.M.  Pompton Reformed is located at the intersection of Ringwood Avenue and Hamburg Turnpike in Pompton Lakes.  A staffed nursery is provided each week. We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month, and on the third Sunday we hold a healing service, for those in need of prayers for strength, comfort or healing for themselves or for a loved one.

Our pastor, the Reverend Thomas Bartha, is a graduate of Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, has served here since summer of 2002.  We are currently searching for an Associate Pastor, with a focus upon youth ministries. Our membership takes an active role in many facets of church life. We are dedicated to mission and outreach, and desire to be a place of hope and support for the surrounding communities.  We enjoy a wide variety of fellowship activities for all ages, providing opportunities for friendships to deepen. From September through May we provide weekly educational classes for young children through adults.  During summer months, a weekly adult discussion group continues to meet, as do a variety of smaller study groups.

Pompton Reformed's Vision Statement is: Building a church where every person knows Jesus and believes he or she can make a difference for Jesus' sake.  We have a strong music program, with adult and youth vocal and bell choirs enriching worship each week.  Their schedules slow down during summer months, but even now, momentum is building for the fall, and new members are always welcomed!  Our monthly newsletter is accessible on this site, and should you desire a current bulletin, or if you've questions, we are glad to respond.  Church phone is 973-835-0541.

Again, thank-you for visiting our web site, and blessings in the name of our Savior,

            Pastor Tom Bartha
