Pianist Scott Marosek, a native
of Central New York, performs regularly as a soloist and a
collaborative artist. His recent eprformacne in Beijing, Guangzhou,
Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Dallas
have included appearances at such renowned venues as Zinghai Hall, the
Jerusalem Music Centre, and the Meyerson Symphony Center. Mr. Marosek
was also featured in several solo recitals sponsored by the Van Cliburn
Foundation.
An experienced music educator, he currently holds the position of
Assistant Professor of Music at the
Methodist University Department of Music
(Fayetteville, NC), where he teaches piano and music history. He also
holds daily summer workshops at
Eastern U.S. Music Camp
at Colgate University (Hamilton, NY), where he works with high-school
age students from throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Marosek
has also taught piano at the
Southwestern Adventist University
Department of Fine Arts and Music (Keene, TX), and the
University of North Texas College of Music
(Denton, TX).

Mr. Marosek received his Doctorate of Musical Arts from the
University of North Texas College of Music,
as well as Masters and Bachelors degrees from the
University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music.
His major teachers have been
Adam Wodnicki and
Robert Weirich.
As a high school student in Upstate New York, he studied with
Sar-Shalom Strong
and Randy Davis, and received prizes in various competitions throughout
New York State
Mr. Marosek's sister is Mrs. Sarah Orlando, administrator of our
Reformed Church of Poughkeepsie's Weekday Nursery School.
