Welcome to the website of The Parkway Community Church in Hicksville, Long Island, New York, USA.  We are glad that you found us. The Parkway Church exists as a place for people to learn to love God and love and serve one another. This website is designed to help you learn about us and what happens here. If you are ever in our area, please stop in.

     The Parkway Church gathers for worship every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us and visitors are expected. We provide child care and religious education at the same hour for toddlers and children up to the age of 12.  In addition we have a high school class, Confirmation Class, and Youth Fellowship.  We stress friendliness and seriousness as we meet together in God's presence.

    The Parkway Community Church was organized in 1951, a congregation of the Reformed Church in America.  Its founding Pastor was the Rev. Douglas MacDonald, who served the church until his death in 2000. The Rev. Harold Lay is its present Pastor. Rev. Lay has been an ordained minister for 25 years, serving churches in northern New Jersey. He and his wife Marilyn have found a home and purpose here on Long Island, and they enjoy sharing with other people. Come and meet them on Sunday mornings.

    In addition to worship and religious education, the church values fellowship events and provides space for community groups. A nursery school and over 20 self-help groups use the facilities weekly. The building is always open to care for people, and the leadership seeks to extend love in as many ways as possible.
