The "Bring a Dime Every Time" Campaign was initiated back in 2005 by deacon, Richard Albert. Throughout the year, the congregation is encouraged to put all the dimes from their pockets into the jar. Then in January, we hold our annual “Roller Luncheon” during which we first “feast and fellowship” and then roll the dimes, which subsequently go to the Rondout Valley Food Pantry. In each of the five years we have collected well over $200 worth of dimes; however, this past year we were joined in our efforts by the Crossroads Deli in Cottekill so that this January we were able to present the Food Pantry with a donation of $437. We would like to expand this Mission to include other local businesses during 2010 as well as suggesting that any “change” is acceptable, not just your dimes.
