For over one hundred and fifty years, the people of the Greenpoint Reformed Church have faithfully served the neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This is a congregation of young and old from a variety of backgrounds with a myriad of interests. Its small size allows everyone to get to know one another and care for one another in a manner that is so desperately needed in our vast city.

The church is located on Milton Street, just off Manhattan Avenue, in the mansion once owned by Thomas Smith, founder of the Union Porcelain Works. This historic building is well suited to providing an intimate setting for worship and community events. Because the church does not look like a traditional church, it encourages all those who enter it to think of new and different ways to serve God and neighbor.

The Greenpoint Reformed Church is a member of the Reformed Church in America. While valuing its denominational affiliation, the church welcomes people from a variety of faith traditions and actively participates in ecumenical events throughout Greenpoint.

At the present time, Ann Kansfield, a senior at New Brunswick Theological Seminary is serving as the church’s student pastor. When not preparing sermons or doing school work, Ann enjoys exploring New York City, reading detective novels and watching reruns of Law and Order. She can be reached by calling the church office at 718-383-5942 or via email at pastor@greenpointchurch.org.
