The Empire Area Food Pantry is located at Glen Lake
Community Reformed Church. The
pantry is supported by four churches.

Mission
To help out families with bags of groceries, which
consist mostly of canned or boxed foods, but in the summer fresh organic
vegetables are provided from Fresh Food Partnership.
Meeting our Mission
Each church has periodic food drives to keep the
pantry supplied and money is always welcome.
Last summer we had great success by parking a pickup outside of Deering
Market in Empire and handing out food wish lists to shoppers.
People came out of the store with a can or a bag of groceries and
filled up the truck twice.
Interested in helping?
The pantry is open every Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30
p.m. We serve three to twelve
families each week. We try
to have four volunteers working during that time. If you would like to get involved, call Bill Meserve at
