OUR LIFE AS A COMMUNITY OF FAITH
ABOUT OUR PEOPLE:
FROGS . . . Our youth group that Fully Relies On God meets today from 11:45 to 2:00 for the Christmas Shoebox Project. Bring $1 for lunch and goodies to fill the shoeboxes. If you forgot the box, don’t worry, we have extras.
FROGS: If you would like to be added to our email list so you receive quicker notifications, email Sunny at frcssbaldwin@choiceonemail.com.
CONSECRATION SUNDAY . . . Our consecration Sunday is next Sunday, November 22. This is a time when we consecrate our estimates of giving for 2010. In celebration we will have coffee and donuts after the 8:00 service and after the 10:00 service there will be a soup and sandwich luncheon. Plan to stay and enjoy table fellowship with others.
CIRCLE JOANNA . . . study books are available for $2 on Pastor Jan’s desk. Please sign up if you take a book, and whether or not you have paid. Read the Dedication, Introduction and Chapter 1, “Seniors See Better” for our meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
CANNING CLUB . . . will meet on Saturday, November 21 in the Kitchen at 9:00 to make applesauce. For a list of what you need to bring contact Patty Marré at 393-1071. Please sign up on the sheet posted outside Pastor Craig’s office.
BOOK GROUP . . . Join others at 7:15 in the Lakehill Room on the last Tuesday of the month to discuss a good book. Here’s the schedule:
HANGING OF THE GREENS . . . Join us on Sunday, November 29 for this annual decorating of the church. We’ll meet at 3:30 and make Christmas ornaments, hang wreaths and make cards for our shut-ins. There will be music performed by the Route 50 Five and a pot luck supper at 5:30 – bring a dish to share and your own table setting. We’ll provide drinks and dessert. We’ll have a visit from St. Nicholas, too. Please bring hats and mittens for our Salvation Army Mitten Tree, and this year we are also collecting unwrapped toys as well. Sign-up on the sheets posted outside Pastor Craig’s office and in the Narthex so we know how many to plan for.
DISPLAYS . . . Stop and view Heather Kramer’s frogs that are displayed in the glass cases outside Memorial Lounge. They are in honor of our youth group, the FROGS, who are learning to Fully Rely On God! Thanks for sharing, Heather!
