What is The Reformed Church in America?

The Reformed Church in America is a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in the world.

Our task is to equip congregations for ministry--a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing--following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God.

The Reformed Church in America offers a foundation for living in a world of change and challenges. We believe the Bible answers the questions Who are we? Why are we here? and Where are we going? We also believe people need to apply the truth of the Bible's teachings to their everyday lives and work--to let eternal truth speak to contemporary society.

The Reformed Church in America was founded in 1628, just twenty-one years after the colony at Jamestown was established, by the Dutch who settled in New Amsterdam (now New York City). Our History is rooted in the Reformation of the 1500s
