  • Worship - We worship together each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. during the school year (8:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. during the summer months). Nursery care is available. Refreshments and Fellowship Time follow the service. We welcome you to participate in the worship and life of our church family. (Our sanctuary is barrier-free.)

Welcome to Ferry morning worship


  • Sunday School - Classes are offered for all ages (10:45 a.m.). Pre-K - 5th graders participate in song time followed by rotation through learning stations where they explore Bible lessons through music, science, art and story-telling.


  • Middle School and High School - (Sunday, 10:55 a.m.) Classes meet separately: Middle School (6th through 8th grades) in the Junior High room and High School (9th through 12th grades) in Heritage Hall Youth Room.


  • Adult Sunday School - Class meets in Friendship House (10:50 - 11:50 a.m.). All are welcome!


  • Young Families - We are committed to grow together as a community within Ferry—a community to build stronger commitment to Christ, our spouses, our families and each other. And to have some fun! Contact the church office for schedule.


  • Praise Team - For those who play guitar, horn, percussion, and/or sing, and wish to honor God with their gifts of music. Praise Team leads praise and worship songs at the beginning of the service. Rehearsals are scheduled in the sanctuary. Call 894-9415 for up-to-date information.


  • Adult Choir - For those who would like to lift their voices in harmony to the Lord. . We meet for rehearsal each Sunday 10:45-11:50 a.m.


  • Joy of Living Bible Study - An interdenominational Bible study welcoming all women in the White Lake area communities. Joy of Living uses a fourfold approach to Bible study: challenging questions for personal study; lively discussion group for sharing insights; interesting lectures with practical applications; and enriching written notes. This fall we are studying Mark 8-16. We meet each Tuesday, 9:30 - 11:15 a.m., through December 9. You may start at any time. Materials cost: $19.75. Questions to Karen Bolema (766-2078).


  • Prayer Shawl Group - We knit or crochet prayer shawls to give to those who are in need of comfort, hope and love. Beginners and experienced crafters are welcome!! Meets each Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in Friendship House. Contact the church office for more information (894-9415).


  • S.O.S. - Middle School Youth (6th through 8th grades). We meet each Wednesday evening, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. See Youth Page for up-to-date information.


  • Senior High Youth - (9th through 12th grades). Meets Sunday evenings, 5-7 p.m. See Youth Page for up-to-date information.


  • Small Groups - We have a number of small groups meeting regularly. If you would like to join a small group, please contact Pastor Klaver or Jim Sytsma (766-5099) for more information.


  • Men at Peace - A group for men who want to learn skills for relationships and who might struggle with emotions (anger? depression?). Men at Peace meets every Thursday, 7-8:30 p.m. in Friendship House. Please contact Pastor Klaver for more information.

  • Girls' Club - Wednesday (see calendar for dates), 6:30-8 p.m. All girls grades 1-5 are welcome! Come for “girl time”, devotionals, learn new skills and make “church connection” craft (like cards)! Questions? Contact Pastor Amy for information.


  • Boys' Club - Wednesday (see calendar for dates), 6:30-8 p.m. All boys grades 1-5 are welcome! AND all dads are welcome to come! Dads, bring your son and build projects together! Some of Ferry’s men will be there to help in case dads can’t be there. Questions? Contact Pastor Nick for information.

  • Care Team - The purpose of the Care Team is to show kindness and love through cards, care packages, and meals to our Ferry family. Anyone is welcome to join. Meetings are held in Fellowship Hall on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.


  • Food & More - This program oversees our food distribution program including Thanksgiving food baskets. We bring food from our pantry shelves (donated by Ferry families) and at least 2000 pounds each month from Gleaners food bank, to be one of the largest donors to the local Food Pantry. We also give 500 pounds of food monthly to New Hope Community Church. We operate our Kids' Kloset, helping Head Start and other families with toddler and baby clothes. Throughout the year emergency needs are met through the Food & More Program. Meetings are held in Fellowship Hall on the third Tuesday of each month, 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to participate.

  • Christmas Luncheon for Seniors - We serve a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixin's for our area senior citizens. Choral students from Montague High School, the Stanton Street Singers, entertain with festive holiday music.

  • Journey of Joy - Ferry members produce an eight-scene re-enactment of the Christmas story in early December. Each scene features actors and many scenes include live animals. It is our hope that this pageant gives each participant and visitor a reason to rejoice, give thanks, and celebrate our Savior's birth.

  • Food Basket Program - Ferry Memorial Reformed Church (FMRC) collects donations of food and funds throughout the year for distribution. Food is distributed through Whitehall District Schools, Montague Area Public Schools, Lebanon Lutheran Church food pantry, Christ the Rock World Harvest Church food pantry, New Hope Community Church food pantry, Newman Chapel and FMRC. FMRC also distributes to individual families at Thanksgiving through our Holiday Food Basket program. This year's baskets contained over 34 items. Additionally, FMRC members prepare and serve special Christmas meals for folks at White Lake Senior Center and Muskegon's Lemonade Stand. Many families, totaling well over 1100 people, are helped over the holidays. Please contact the church office for more information.
