Karen and I have been here at Community Reformed Church since November of 2012. I've served churches in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, New York and Illinois. Each of them shares the same goal ... "go and make disciples of all nations." That is why we are a church. Our goal is to build a faith community into a mission station for the Gospel. That happens as we work together in the power of the Holy Spirit to build believers and reach seekers in Jesus' name.
Mr. Ernest F. Hamilton, Jr.Hello! Iím Ernest F. Hamilton, Jr., Organist and Director of Music at Community Reformed since January 1, 2001. Iím an Ocean County native who began work as an organist and choirmaster in 1963. I originally studied organ with Elsie Fischer in Toms River and continued formal education at Westminster Choir College, The Royal School of Church Music, and The Westminster Conservancy. Iím an organist because I must be one! My wife Barbara and I live in Freehold. Our son, William Regan and his wife Vicki live in Washington, D.C.
Community Reformed Church is fortunate to have two choirs: a Chancel Choir (SATB) that sings at each service and a Chime Choir that performs frequently throughout the year. The choir members are dedicated, hard-working, and lovely people. Choir music is a necessary part of every worship service, and our repertoire spans the centuries from about 1100 to the present day, including some original works. Singing and making music together are great ways to form friendships, participate in the service, and serve our Lord. The choirs and I enjoy our work together and the rewards of helping to lead the worship of Almighty God.
Wonít you worship with us some Sunday? Then perhaps youíll sing or ring a chime with us, too!
