Education

CHILDREN:
The Brookville Church provides a Children's Education program for young school-aged children and pre-teens. Each Sunday, the children begin with the worshiping congregation in the main sanctuary and participate in the weekly service. Near the beginning of the service, they are invited to join together for a "Moment With Our Youth."

The children are then invited to go to the Fellowship Hall, where they spend the rest of their time. All of the children meet together with the Sunday School teacher for a short time of worship and scripture memorization. This is invariably a fun and rewarding time for the youth and the volunteers as they laugh and are challenged to study God's word together. Every child is celebrated for her or his unique abilities.

The children then are separated into three groups, by age or grade level, and spend time in each group studying in more depth a particular story or Biblical concept. This time is usually filled with story time, craft-making, skits, and other educational activities.

A weekly confirmation class is also provided for students around the age of 13. This group is currently heading in the direction of becoming a youth group and may involve all of the congregation's teens in the near future.

ADULTS:
The Adult Education program at Brookville Church is active and growing.

Annually, pre-teens who are interested in Confessing their Faith attend a class with Allan. The goal of this class is to bring young members of the congregation into a full awareness of the teachings of the Church and the joys, responsibilities, and rewards of active Church membership.
