new pastoral leadership for our congregation.

About Our Pastor
"Caring ... thoughtful ... inspiring ... funny ... has a heart that
loves people as much as he loves God ..... " These are just some
of the words that people use to describe our pastor.
Pastor Steve is a native of Texas who grew up in Michigan.
He came to New Jersey from Iowa in 1992 to pursue graduate studies in Theology
and Philosophy, and has been our pastor since 1993. His area of research
is spirituality. His knowledge of spiritual life in Christianity,
antiquity and the world's religions enhances his preaching and teaching.
In addition to serving as our pastor, Pastor Steve is a popular college
professor at several universities in northern New Jersey.
Pastor Steve is blessed with a wonderful family.
His lovely wife Ellen is a talented
soprano who frequently graces our worship with her beautiful voice (click

Their son Jesse is a budding computer technition and their daughter
Kate enjoys dance, piano and flute, and wants to be a "Rockette" at Radio
City!
However, words do not describe what it is like to know Pastor Steve.
